TRAFFIC CONTROL TECHNICIAN (TCT)

To execute this job successfully, you must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily:

In addition to proof of 1560 hours of temporary traffic control experience as a Certified Flagger.
Adhere to company, state and federal guidelines for effective, Safe and well managed TTC (Temporary Traffic Control) work zones.
Must be Alert and Attentive.
Monitors roadway construction zones.
Report any unknown, observed or suspected violation of company policy, safety hazards or any unusual occurrence to site supervisors.
    
ABILITIES
In addition to Flagging skills, management skills required
Ability to receive and communicate specific instructions clearly, firmly, and courteously;
Ability to move and maneuver quickly in order to avoid danger from errant vehicles;
Ability to understand and apply safe traffic control practices, sometimes in stressful or emergency situations; and
Ability to recognize dangerous traffic situations and warn workers in sufficient time to avoid injury.​​
